Gene’s Evergreens is a grower of Pine, Spruce, and Fir trees in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.  In addition to their northern grown hardiness, these trees are distinguished by cultivation without pesticides or herbicides, as well as being root-pruned at least 2-3 years before harvesting and dug by hand.

Root pruning results in a tree with a very fibrous root system that is contained under the tree, not left in the ground after digging with machines. The hand-dug tree has more roots, is more likely to thrive, and is much more easily transported and planted.

Gene's Evergreens intends to harvest only 100-200 trees per year.

Guaranteed Planting service is available for additional cost (generally 50% additional; example: A $95 Spruce will cost $47.50 to plant.) 

Prices include free delivery within 50 miles of St. Johnsbury;
and $1 for each additional mile.
